Competency Framework for EMDR UK working with NHSE.
Members of EMDR UK Board (past and present) were invited to be part of an Expert Reference Group to work in a collegiate manner with authors from University College London (UCL) and Health Education England (NHSE) to develop a competency framework for EMDR. Related to this, NHSE is working with members of EMDR UK to develop a curriculum to ensure that EMDR training can be provided more widely in the NHS for the treatment of PTSD. This is an exciting development increasing capacity in the NHS and also highlighting the value of supervision and accreditation for those trained.
